Broccoli- a Flower or a Vegetable?

Often confused with vegetables, Broccoli is an edible flower that lies under the cabbage family with a large flowery head. The name that is Broccoli is a Latin form of a root word “Broccolo” meaning the flowery crest of a cabbage.
A Nutritious flower:
This flower contains high amount of vitamin C and Dietary fiber and also of moderate nutrients. It has potential anti- cancerial properties as well, making it even more and more beneficial for people eating it.  It also acts as a weight reducer and can condense up to 20-30% obesity. 
It’s Multiplicities:  
There are 3 types of broccoli that are commonly grown. Amongst them the most famous one is Calabrese Broccoli. It has biggest green flowery head amongst all broccolis and a thick stalk. Usually it is said the larger the head of a broccoli is the more advantageous and nutritious it is to eat. Moreover, there is Sprouting Broccoli; having a larger number of heads with multiple stalks that are tiny and thin. And then there is Purple Cauliflower a type of broccoli having a head shaped like a cauliflower rather many tiny cauliflower buds which are purple from the tip.
It’s Cultivation:
Broccoli is cultivated best during cold seasons of the year and in all most every part of the world. It needs cold weather, proper sunlight and water and rich cultivated soil which is fertile, well drained and moist.
It’s Harvesting and Storage:
A broccoli flower starts blooming when one can see its flower head commencement through its center. And when number small buds appear, it’s perfect time to harvest them. And for their storage they should be graduated in a dry place with little amount of sunlight penetrating to keep them, fresh and growing.  Broccolis harvested along with other green vegetables specially lettuce and cabbage in the cool-season and best grown.
It’s Cuisines:
There are almost more than 2205 send flowers to Philippines cuisines that can be made out of broccoli being tasty and healthy at the same time. This flower can be used as a full course main meal, starter, in salads and also as a complementary ad on upon many dishes.
Broccoli soups and famous for being the most soothing and healthy bowl one can ever get; being beneficial for high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes.
There is no doubt that nothing on this earth is constructive and advantageous for us. And one of the major examples of it is this very favorable flower Broccoli that is not just a means to consume but has number of benefits for our physical and mental health.
